Metric: "mentioned by" on the Social

When browsing the trending tab I see projects pumping for no apparent reason. I ask myself, is this pumping becuse influencers like garyvee and praksy are mentioning it on twitter? There is no real way for me to check except if I'm an expert with twitter advanced search and spend 15 mins on it.
